The IPL retention has been completed and all IPL teams have submitted the release and retention list to the IPL Governing Council. The auction for IPL 2024 will take place on December 19 in Dubai. A total of 1166 players have submitted their names for the player auction for IPL 2024. This time, 830 Indian players have put their names forward for the auction. There are also 336 foreign players. Of these, 212 players have played international cricket while 45 players are also from associated countries. A total of 25 players who registered for the auction kept their base price at Rs 2 crore.

7 Australian players are included

Seven players from Australia’s 2024 ODI World Cup winning team are among the 25 players who will take part in the IPL 2024 player auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore. These include Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Steve Smith, Josh Inglis and Sean Abbott. The base price of Rs 2 crore only includes four Indians. These include Umesh Yadav, Kedar Jadhav, Shardul Thakur and Harshal Patel. New Zealand batting all-rounder Rachin Ravindra had an amazing performance in the 2023 World Cup. He won the hearts of everyone with his punch. He scored 578 runs and took five wickets. It has kept its base price at Rs 50 lakh.
