24 years have passed since Lady Diana’s death

Today marks the 24th anniversary of the late Princess Diana, the British princess who has won millions of hearts.

Princess Diana was born on July 1, 1961, in Norfolk, UK. Lady Diana was engaged to British Prince Charles in 1981 and then began her royal journey with marriage. She gave birth to Prince William in 1982 and Prince Harry in 1984.

Diana, nicknamed the Fairy Princess for her beauty, has been the subject of controversy since her marriage. Lady Diana’s bond with Prince Charles lasted only 15 years. Controversy not only haunted the British princess all her life, but her death also became a controversy.

The late Lady Diana was killed in a car accident in a tunnel in Paris on August 31, 1997, along with her Egyptian-born friend Dodi Fayed. Lady Diana was very interested in welfare work and in this regard she visited Pakistan twice.

Lady Diana was buried in Westminster Abbey Cemetery in London on September 6, 1997. Scenes of the funeral and last rites of the late Lady Diana, 36, were watched live on TV screens by millions of people around the world.
