2024 Toronto Grand Prix: Stream Alex Palou’s Live Race TV Broadcast and Schedule

As the IndyCar season approaches its mid-point, Alex Palou is set to bid farewell to the urban circuits and head into the oval track showdown. This weekend, the Toronto Grand Prix marks the final month of the season before the summer break, and Palou is eager to increase his lead over his competitors.

A Key Race

Palou, driving for Ganassi, has experienced a strong season so far, particularly in urban areas. He secured fourth place in St. Pete and podiumed in Long Beach. However, his consistency on the ovals remains crucial. The third title will be decided in five races, four of which will be on oval tracks. If Palou maintains or increases his lead over his closest rival, Australian Scott McLaughlin, he will gain a significant advantage.

Competition Heats Up

The Ganassi #10 has performed well on urban tracks, but Palou faces stiff competition from other drivers. Scott McLaughlin, who has been on a roll with three consecutive podiums, including a win in Iowa, is a strong candidate for victory. Additionally, Will Power, 35 points behind Palou, and Pato O’Ward, 52 points behind, will be vying for a spot on the podium.

Toronto to Host Hybrid IndyCars

For the first time, the Toronto Grand Prix will feature hybrid single-seater IndyCars, introduced two races ago at Mid Ohio. The hybrid engines have proven successful for Chevrolet over Honda, with the American constructor achieving victory in all three races so far.

Grid News

Sting Ray Robb, who suffered a harrowing accident last weekend, will be cleared to participate in the Toronto Grand Prix, suffering no after-effects from the incident. Newcomer Hunter McElrea will make his IndyCar debut, piloting the Dale Coyne #18 in place of the injured Jack Harvey. Toby Sowery will return to the #51 team, previously driven by Katherine Legge.
