2011 World Cup squad member and cricket partner of Dhoni at CSK is in poor condition, becomes bus driver

The game of cricket has seen a lot of money in the last decade. The story of Suraj Randiv does not stop being a surprise for everyone. Suraj was part of the Sri Lanka squad at the 2011 ODI World Cup. Suraj played for Sri Lanka in all three formats. Suraj, who made his international debut in the year 2009, played 12 tests, 31 ODIs and 7 T20 matches for Sri Lanka. Suraj has 43 wickets in Tests, 36 in ODI and 7 wickets in T20.

In the IPL season played in the year 2011, Sooraj got a chance to debut for Chennai Super Kings. Suraj had the chance to play 8 matches in IPL in which he took 6 wickets. Bidding farewell to cricket, Sooraj had decided to settle in Australia. It was here that he decided to take the job of a bus driver.

When the Indian team toured Australia in the year 2020, at that time the host team brought in Suraj Randiv as the net bowler to deal with spin bowlers. Apart from Suraj, there have been 2 other players who have played the role of bus drivers. This includes Waddington Mawenga from Zimbabwe and Chintaka Jayasinghe from Sri Lanka.
