In the last few days, before landing at the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, two planes came dangerously close in the air.
According to Arab media, one of them was a Saudi Arabian Airlines B777-300 aircraft, which was being flown by Captain Mamdouh Bukhari.
The second plane, an A320 NEO aircraft of FlyNAS, was being flown by Captain Fahad Al-Yahi. However, luckily both the planes landed at the airport without any collision.
The Saudi Aviation Department said in a statement on Twitter that the two planes were only 60 meters away from each other.
After it went viral on social media, social media users say that it is wrong to allow such a risky situation. It should be taken into account that the current from the aircraft can damage other aircraft.

On the other hand, pilot Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, an expert in civil aviation, while commenting on the video of the limited distance between the two planes above Tuweeq Mountain, said that the distance between the planes of more than 500 feet is necessary for the safety of the planes, but the pilots cannot work in such a dangerous manner without the authority’s permission.
