A 16-year-old boy died in a car crash in Melo, Cerro Largo, on Sunday night.
The Chevrolet Corsa he was driving was registered in Río Negro and was headed south on the perimeter ring road between routes 26 and 8.
The police said a dog ran into the road, causing the driver to lose control.
The boy was hurt badly and taken to Melo hospital, where he died.
A 15-year-old passenger was with him but wasn’t hurt.
The police, local transit authorities, and the Cerro Largo prosecutor’s office handled the case.
