14 passengers of a plane that made an emergency landing for a pregnant woman in Spain escaped from the airport.

According to the foreign news agency, the flight of Turkish private airline Pegasus Airlines was going from Casablanca, Morocco to Istanbul. During the flight, 228 passengers were on board.

During the flight, the condition of a pregnant woman worsened, on which the plane made an emergency landing at Barcelona Airport in Spain.

After landing, the pregnant woman was being taken to the hospital for medical assistance, while 27 passengers of the plane ran away from the airport.

Spanish police caught 13 of the 27 at the same time, while 14 managed to escape.

Spanish authorities say the pregnant woman has been arrested in connection with the incident because the passengers’ escape appears to have been a premeditated plan. The woman is pregnant but her maternity claim was not correct.
