Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film, “120 Bahadur,” is set to release on November 21, 2025. The film’s trailer was recently unveiled, increasing anticipation among audiences.
Amidst the excitement, a legislative member in Rajasthan has called for the film to be declared tax-free in the state. Ravindra Singh Bhati, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Sheo constituency, has formally requested Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to grant the exemption.
MLA Bhati stated in his letter that “120 Bahadur” is not merely entertainment. He described it as a source of patriotic inspiration for the new generation. The film aims to educate young people about the sacrifices made by soldiers for their nation’s defense.
Bhati urged the Chief Minister to support this “meaningful effort” by making the film tax-free. This would allow more people to witness and appreciate the bravery of Indian soldiers.
The MLA also shared his appeal on X, formerly Twitter. He highlighted that “120 Bahadur” is dedicated to Param Vir Chakra recipient Major Shaitan Singh Bhati and his 120 comrades. Bhati believes that granting tax-free status to such films can significantly strengthen the spirit of national pride in society.

The film chronicles the historic Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 India-China War. It depicts the courageous stand of 120 Indian soldiers from the 13 Kumaon Regiment against approximately 3,000 Chinese troops. Despite being vastly outnumbered and facing harsh conditions, the Indian soldiers displayed unwavering courage and patriotism.
Farhan Akhtar portrays Major Shaitan Singh, who led his companions in writing an immortal chapter in Indian military history. A powerful line from Akhtar in the trailer declares, “We will not retreat,” encapsulating the soldiers’ determination and sacrifice.
Rajneesh Reji Ghai directed the feature. Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Amit Chandra produced the project. The film also stars Raashi Khanna and features the narration of veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan.
“120 Bahadur” is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 21, 2025.
