A new official video unveiled for Obi-wan kenobi confirms the revenge of the Jedi mentor on his former apprentice, then in the series dark Vador via a video containing new art concepts.
Since Disney bought back Lucasfilm in 2012, there were rumors of Ewan McGregor returning to the franchise to play the Jedi again. Ewan McGregor played Obi-Wan in the prequel trilogy, becoming one of the most universally beloved elements of the saga. At one point, Lucas film wanted to make a spin-off film of Obi-wan, but the project was later reworked into a miniseries for Disney+. Deborah Chow, known for directing episodes of The Mandalorian, is the director.
Besides the confirmation thatObi-wan kenobi is between Revenge of the Sith and New hope, little is known about the history of the series. Lucasfilm gathered a cast around McGregor, marked in particular by the highly anticipated return of Hayden christensen in the role of Dark Vador. The series will land on our small screens next year, if we still know little about this future monument of pop-culture, the veil is gradually dissipating.

The video sheds some light on the history ofObi-wan kenobi, since Deborah Chow mentions that the Empire hunts down the Jedi who survived Order 66. This gives credence to reports that Sung Kang would play an inquisitor, we can not wait to discover a little more about the antagonists of the series as its marketing campaign intensifies more and more. The director also develops on the fact that Obi-wan watch over Luke Skywalker, although new places in the Galaxy Star wars are noticeable, suggesting that the series will not be set on Tatooine alone.
